Next week during library time, we will start voting online for the best YA book. Who do you think will win? Stay tuned! Mr C gave out a lot of high fives this morning. I think we should start school like this every day. We all need to cheer one another on as much as possible! Project Unify = We are all in this world together; we know it and show it!! :-) Project Unify group waited in the library today before they were greeted by the whole school cheering them onto their sports bus.. The group a eemed fascinated to see how morning announcements are broadcast. Day seven and the peeps are not dissolving. Now bacteria is growing in the water beaker. (And it's red so it looks really gory with a white ghost peep) "Googled" dissolving peeps experiment and learned some sad news: peeps do not dissolve unless you have a really toxic substance like phenol. Read more here: http://peepresearch.org/solubility.html. My conclusion: I am not in a big hurry to ever eat a peep again! I'm completely underwhelmed by the results. I thought there would be more change. So I did some online research and found this page: www.peepresearch.org/solubility.html It explains everything and made me laugh. Hope you read this article, also! Happy Researching Everyone! Not much change...they all look softer, less solid. Perhaps the ghost swimming in coke has dissolved the most. Hmmm What will day three look like? I'm so happy we did this experiment. Right away a student asked,"Do you have a book on experiments?" I love my job!! #STEAM @ Woods Library |
